Using an adaptation of a regulatory skin irritation test, we can detect subtle differences between mild and ultra-mild formulations. The test was validated directly against human volunteer patch tests, providing you with credible scientific data to support mildness claims.

Mildness to Eye

Support “no tears” and gentle formulation claims with our eye mildness test. Using the ET50 method with reconstructed human corneal epithelium, we can assess eye irritation potential and provide an in-depth classification of mildness.

This test is particularly valuable for products that may come into contact with the eyes, allowing you to demonstrate superior gentleness and support claims like “ophthalmologically tested” or “suitable for sensitive eyes.”

Skin Pigmentation Test

Evaluate the effects of your ingredients or formulations on skin pigmentation using MelanoDermâ„¢ reconstructed skin models. These models contain human keratinocytes and melanocytes working together to closely model human skin pigmentation physiology.

The test provides both qualitative (photographic) and quantitative (melanin extraction and spectrophotometry) assessment of pigmentation changes, allowing you to support claims for skin brightening, lightening, evening skin tone, or protecting against hyperpigmentation.

The OxiSelectâ„¢ method exposes human skin cells (epidermal keratinocytes) to your active ingredients to measure their ability to neutralize reactive oxygen species (ROS) and protect cells from oxidative stress.
